Earlier this fall, I met Chris and Emily at Freedom Park in Arlington, Virginia, for their engagement session. I had a great time working with them and getting to know them better, beginning with the story of how they met in college and fell in love while planning an elaborate Halloween costume together (which is now a yearly tradition).
Despite both being from small towns, they love living in Rosslyn and being near all the exciting sights of DC. So when they suggested taking photos at Freedom Park, I knew it would make the perfect urban setting for their session.
Another great thing about Freedom Park is its ping pong table! Emily and Chris enjoy playing tennis and ping pong together, and often stop by this park for a ping pong match. So we decided they should bring their paddles to the session for a few action shots! I’m so glad we were able to have some fun and incorporate one of their hobbies into the photos.
We are very much looking forward to their modern, urban wedding in Rosslyn next year!
