Welcome to the new and improved MacklerMedia!<\/p>\n

For those of you who have followed us from the beginning, you know MacklerMedia as a freelance photojournalism company started by me (Kristin Eberts Mackler) and my husband–well, boyfriend at the time–Chris Mackler.<\/p>\n

After getting hitched and moving from Missouri to Arlington, Virginia last year, we decided to revamp and rebrand MacklerMedia to focus more on wedding, portrait and lifestyle photography. I took the plunge and left my career in the newspaper industry in favor of pursuing the work of MacklerMedia full time. Chris, who currently works full-time as a photo editor, lovingly assists me in his free time. What a great husband!<\/p>\n

I decided to get into wedding and portrait photography because I know these are images that families treasure. I get to document the most important parts of people’s lives, from engagements, to weddings, to growing families. Personally, I know just how much the photographs of my own engagement and wedding mean to me, and I am honored to now capture these beautiful moments for others.<\/p>\n

But don’t worry, I am–and always will be–a photojournalist at heart. I still approach every shoot with a photojournalistic style. I use a candid approach to photography because I believe it is the best way to capture true emotion, moments, beauty, and most importantly, love.<\/p>\n
