Kelly and Matt wanted to capture an urban vibe for their engagement session, so we headed into downtown Washington, D.C. to explore! We met in Chinatown, a sentimental neighborhood for them as it was the first place they lived upon moving to Washington. We started on the stately steps of the Smithsonian National Portrait Gallery. Nothing says “District of Columbia” like some marble columns, am I right?! Then, we strolled past the iconic Friendship Archway of Chinatown. We finished up amongst the hustle and bustle of D.C.’s City Center complex. The string lights provided the perfect ambience for photos as sunset approached.
Kelly and Matt exuded elegance and a fun-loving spirit throughout the entire session. I really enjoyed getting to know them better while exploring D.C.! Their downtown wedding is coming up this Saturday, and we are looking forward to it! It’s sure to be a beautiful and classy affair, just like the two of them.
